Thanks in part to our Farm to School efforts, the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD) continues to increase it’s offering of local foods in school lunches. As the 2013-14 school year begins, students will enjoy cantaloupe grown by Conesville farmer Daryl Rausch and zucchini from Flint Ridge Produce in Kalona.

The ICCSD has also contracted with Earth Biscuit Farm in Tipton to supply zucchini to all the secondary schools in September and October.
